Absolutely not. Please come in any formal wear that you are comfortable with.

Do I have to wear high heels?

Defiantly not. Wear what will be comfortable for your feet. You can even sneak some slippers in for the dance floor...... if that will keep you on the dance floor longer.

What does "Formal" attire mean?

Formal attire means elegant evening wear. For ladies this includes floor-length gowns or sophisticated cocktail dresses. For gentlemen, a suit or tuxedo is appropriate. A tie or bow tie is welcome but not required.

Are certain colours discouraged?

We kindly ask ladies to avoid white, ivory, pale blue and pale purple. Gentleman - dress your best.

Can I wear a short dress?

Yes - If it is elegant and formal in style. When in doubt, dress slightly more formal rather than casual.

Can I bring a jacket or shawl?

Please do! It may be cold, especially as the sun goes down. The reception is indoors and heated with a wood fireplace along with split systems throughout.
